Tanks in HQ's and WAR

This is not my specialty, however...we need to be prepared to take out tanks during HQ's and War.

I have watched a couple of videos on youtube, and have learned this much:

1. You can not destroy a tank (or even damage it) with a machine gun or regular frag.

2. It takes 4 bazooka rounds to take a tank down.

3. Sticky grenades are like asking your cousin to the prom.

4. THE ONLY EFFECTIVE TOOL IS SATCHEL CHARGES.

If a satchel is thrown next to the tank (NOT ON IT), it only takes two charges. 2 charges thrown in the same spot along the tracks will disable a tank completely.

If we want to compete, we need to equip and use these effectively. I think everyone should have one anti-tank class...whatever you want, as long as satchel charges are equipped.

Last week we were playing another clan at Roundhouse (HQ's), and they destroyed us with the tanks. Everyone had left the match except Evil and I, because we were getting destroyed. It was very embarissing. At the end they had obviously said we sucked and had all cheated to rank up. We simply didnt prepare well to counter their efforts.

I am not an expert at taking tanks down, but we need to try to learn.

Any input (Puff and CIC?)... no one else uses this forum, so Ill ask you guys directly.

Might also be a good idea to equip fireworks and sticky's just to finish them off.

WHILE THE ENEMY NOT LOOKING OR CAN'T SEE, THROW A SATCHEL ON THE GROUND REALLY REALLY CLOSE TO THE TANK!(YOU'LL NEED LUCK/SKILLS TO DO THIS OR PREDICT WHERE HE MIGHT MOVE ) AND AS SOON AS HE ROLLS OVER ONE {DETONATE} BOOM!!!! INSTANT KILL IF YOU SET IT UNDER THE TANK.... ITS BEAUTIFUL I KNOW.

EVERY TIME I START IN ONE OF THOSE STAGES THAT I KNOW TANKS ARE GOING TO BE THERE... I ALWAYS START WITH MY "PANZER ZERSTORER"
There should be more than just me to prepare for this...

And despite what Groothu1 said............ N 74 ST (STICKY GRENADE) IS EXTREMELY POWERFUL AGAINST A TANK.. ( he said something like he likes to date his cousins or something?)
I DON'T KNOW... "N 74 ID A DEVICE DESIGNED AS AN ANTI-TANK GRENADE. BEWARE, VERY DANGEROUS"
I KNOW BECAUSE I HAVE USE THE TANK MANY TIMES AND THOSE FREAKING THINGS HURT A LOT!
NORMAL GRENADES ARE USELESS ALMOST.

Take a look at the tank damage chart for reference. This data is pulled from the PC version, but the damage multipliers remain the same on PS3.




Under the tank has the highest damage multiplier, but only the satchel charge can use it, and it is often hard to get them to drive over it. The back of the tank is the next best place to attack otherwise. If not completely destroy, we should leave the tanks on fire so a single rocket or NO 74th ST Grenade will finish it off.
